How to get to the Shackleton Chalet in Sestriere

Sestriere is closer than you might think. Reaching an altitude of 2,035 metres has never been easier. Sestriere is one of the few Alpine ski resorts that can be easily reached by car, train or plane, and the Shackleton Chalet is situated right in the heart of the village, just a stone’s throw from the ski lifts and the centre. Whether you’re coming from Turin, Milan, across the border or straight onto the slopes with your skis on, you’ll be here in under two hours, surrounded by the fresh Alpine air and ready to set off for Italy’s largest ski area.

By car

From Turin, the route is simple and straightforward: you head up the Val di Susa as far as Cesana Torinese, then take the main road that climbs gently up to Sestriere.
